The Victory of True Love

A toast to true love

We built a friendship and a life wrapped with a love so strong

Though times and words were often hard they never lasted long.

Our Love was not a thoughtless gift of passion for a night.

As years passed by the Love we shared was always burning bright.

We didn’t take the easy road or slip around the rules.

With heads held high as one we sailed around the ship of fools.

We lift our voice to celebrate the race that we have run.

The world’s been hard on us and still we've always found the fun.

So when in time our race is run and parting is required

No disappointment or regret we've run it wire to wire .
