In the heart of everyone of us a

darkness doth abide.

With love and care do some of us

the darkness seek to hide.

Yet covering a wound alone

won't make it go away.

So how then does a man propose

to hide his hate today.

When then shall mankind awake

to this travesty called life.

Must the whole world first be shaken

by the giant known as strife.

The homeless breed the hungry

and the rich deny the poor.

The masses fight for money

and death is at the door.

Our salvation lies in realization

our eyes must soon be opened.

For every man in every nation

must let his heart be softened.

As one consigned to harmony

man must seek to fell the giant,

Strife must live no more.
