They say sometimes this youth of mine

Is wasted on the young.

But, I believe, as they perceive,

That life is far too short.

We live our days an endless haze

Of plateaus to the top.

If madness is as madness does,

We’ve simply missed the point.

We didn’t pass it by, alas

It’s been there all along.

We seem to find more joy in lies,

My God I think we’re lost!

When Love is gone our life drags on,

The truth we merely drop.

What need of truth, why value youth,

We’ve simply missed the point.

The point, you ask, what sort of task

Is this you have in mind?

I didn’t miss, the point is this,

The Heart of Life is Love!
