Who knows if he thought about his last meal,

greedy and thief knew no bait,

nor the hand of a treacherous man

or woman who had no heart.

The velociraptor had climbed mountains and ran across meadows,

then twisted its body and claws sank to the ground,

damned fatal morsel

who took him away in agony like a poor rat,

the velociraptor that didn't want to die

had to give up and leave,

between the paws footprints of death and

teeth ready for an attack that he couldn't launch,

at the bottom of the eyes distorted butterflies and

the breathlessness as after a long run and

a cry deep as that of love and

then just one breath and

the heart still and

without needing to jump

the velociraptor that didn't want to die

overcame his last obstacle and

returned home from his earthly journey

to leave forever a dark planet where he thought he was safe.

Who knows if he forgave his crime to raw and vital nature,

when his glassy eyes reflected the blue of the sky

he could no longer look at,

who knows if he could read the future

among the lights of extinct stars.

Wonderful, the portrayal of the velociraptor's struggle against an unseen enemy and the heart-wrenching description of its demise elicit a sense of empathy and reflection, it leaves us with a profound contemplation on the fleeting nature of existence and the journey towards an unknown destination, well done, very good job!
