Jack was a highly skilled time traveller whose goal was to go back in time, modify history subtly, and therefore make the world a better place. John had visited the past numerous times, always hoping to change the world for the better.

One day, John was transported back to 1914, shortly before World War I started. His goal was to stop the conflict from starting since he was aware of the terrible repercussions that would occur. John landed at Sarajevo, the scene of the murder of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, which many historians consider to be the act that started the war.

Jack was aware that he needed to move rapidly. He travelled to the assassin's lair and came face to face with Gavrilo Princip, the man who would be recognised as the Archduke Franz Ferdinand's killer. John made an effort to persuade Princip by outlining the repercussions of his conduct, but Princip was unreceptive. He made the decision to act on his own in a moment of desperatio

Princip's gun was struck out of his hands by John in a single fast action, stopping him from carrying out the murder. The war was avoided, and the archduke was secure. John returned to his own time, pleased with his success.

Yet as he took in his surroundings, he became aware of how drastically the world had altered. Many of the technological and scientific developments that took place during World War I were never realised because the conflict never happened. The world was a very different place, and not always in a good way.

Jack became aware of the unexpected effects of his actions and started to wonder if changing history was morally right. While he was aware that what he had done could not be undone, he decided to approach future missions with greater caution and consideration for the possible consequences.

Jack had discovered an important lesson: the past was not something to be trifled with, and even the best-laid plans may go awry.
