The Tree of Our Lives

An Acrostic Sonnet

The tree of our lives has lost many leaves

Rolling on the ground with the growing wind;

Embarrassed by some Alpha species thieves

Enticed by envy and greed highly chinned.

On the earth, the air was becoming thinned

Foaming in despair, the tree lost its sleeves;

Over the horizon, AI had twinned

Usurpers of every sort with heaves.

Religions crumbled under the truth’s weight

Lilliputian steps were taken forwards;

Intelligence being measured by trait

Validated some of the ancient words.

Enveloped in leaves, survivors saw fate

Streamlined by over and beyond two thirds.

-----

Music to soothe the present and perhaps the past.
