Snapchat was created back in April 2011. One of the three founders of the application, Reggie Brown, was the one who apparently came up with the basic outline for the idea of this mobile app.
A second founder of this mobile app, a student by the name of Evan Spiegel, first launched the application from his father's living room back in July of that same year. At the time that Snapchat was created, only Apple users using devices with the iOS operating system were able to use the app, so any Android users were pretty much out of luck at the time.
After that, a third founder named Bobby Murphy worked to help with the app. With this trifecta, Snapchat was born in an early form and it was the start of a new tech application!
