A civil soldier sat on the ground

Once a success in the town

Having a respectable look

Favorite protagonist in any author’s storytelling book

Today showing wear and tear

Despite feeling he was prepared

To face an emotional scare

From angry young adult boys

Political toys

Showing might and no expression of joy

Then seeing a small figure walking a mile

It was a child

Long attached from a mother’s womb

Surviving this conflict tomb

Kicking a can

Towards the weary man

Who clapped like a fan

Cheering in an empty sporting stand

“Good job lad

Not bad

Performing the duties, you had”

He smiled no longer mad

Getting a youthful energy shock

Reminded time to protect his home block

Arising from his rest

He welcomed the innocent guest

“I do not want to be a pest

But this war is a mess

Why does not the enemy just confess

And admit they failed the test

Go home they should

Examine what is under their mental hood

And they will realize it is they who are not good”

It was then

The one whose job was to defend

Gave an honor salute

For words as powerful then the gun he uses to shoot

“That was nicely said

About what is in the antagonist’s head

Do you want to say anything more

Concerning this pathetic war?”

“Sir, let us cleanse the blood off our hands

And take a stand

Without complain

And wash their brain

Make them believe in Ukraine

When riding home alone on their packed military train

We are not being a fool

Wearing yellow and blue

Colors of God’s beautiful day

Which I must say

Is the way

The world must stay”
