She’d been happily content
Spending her emotional rent
On the love she thought
was her life
But then the thunder came
followed by the rain
And cast away all that was sunny
and bright
How delusional was she
To think that he
Could love her unconditionally?
Perhaps that was too much
For one to bear
Now the scars
She must wear
From now
Until…..
