If I could draw like you I would only draw you.

Highlighting the way the light shines on your face at night while you sleep peacefully, its the only time you’re vulnerable and the only time I become your protector.

I would then move to your shoulders shadowing heavy with charcoal to symbolize the weight of the world resting on them.

Then Your back

Drawing band aids to cover up past wounds that layer would be erase because wounds can heal when taken care of right. I’ll take care of you right.

Your spine

Strong and with pride

Using the thickest permanent marker no one will be able to erase it. You are the spine. Holding this family up with strength you’re stronger than you know.

Then your feet

I would make your feet with blue water colors representing the struggles you went through growing up. The color running down the canvas you walked away from things that didn’t suit you and like the water color you finally settled in place.

On to your hands

The most gentlest rough part of your body. Theses hands that can hold and love someone so damaged while getting cut themselves. The hands that come from a hard worker what do you even use to draw hands like these?

Lastly the heart

The motivation behind this poet

Your heart

the true master artist.
