The Man Who Cares

Such a humble man is he

Ever a friend for any and all in need

Always standing ready to do any deed.

A greater friend one could never find.

Writing for his Muses has been his pleasure

Formulating poetry for them to treasure.

A kind and caring man

He's sees beauty where others sees none

******

Pets, he doesn’t own any

And yet you will find him snapping photos of cats by the many

His menagerie of felines he freely shares

And delights in the reactions of all who cares.

A man there for everyone

But rare is the person there in return.

He absorbs the pain of others to lighten their loads

And he tarries on carrying their burdens along with his own.

He forgives readily though perhaps he should not

He picks himself up each time he is dropped

He dusts himself off and grapples with the pain

And yet he stands ready to be there all the same.

Of all the writings he has done as tribute to others

Few tributes have been written for him.

So, here friend is one for you.

You deserve it.
