The Male Gaze

A disgusting experience

Your gaze

Feels like a million centipedes are

Crawling all over my body

Seeping into my skin, into my brain

Leaving me

Sick.

Not a day goes by without me

Wishing you could feel the same as I do,

As disgusted as I do.

I conceal myself to rid of this feeling,

From head to toe,

Not an inch of skin exposed.

Yet I still feel your mischievous gaze

From a mile away

Tracing the outline of my body,

Making me insufferable,

As if you're picking my skin apart

With your knife-like nails.

Storing me in a jar that you collect,

Placing me with your other victims

On your bedside table

Staring,

Wishing,

Thinking of the unspeakable things

You'd like to do to me.
