The Harbour and the Skiff
A breakup nonet

I was out to sea, toes scuffing sand,
You stood on the shore, line in hand,
And at its end, me, facing
Deeper blue and calling
You, to wade to me.
You gave me slack,
I swam through
Parting
Waves.
