The Final Frontier

I like Space

The expanse of darkness goes on for eternity.

The void juggles me awkwardly in a floating fashion, that is admittedly relaxing.

Life has humorous way of exchanging information;

Especially with a bat of an eyelash.

One moment we’re stargazing at twilight,

the next I’m swimming amongst the stars alone and you’re grounded,

on the big blue marble we call home.

But I can see you, hear you.

But this is all one way, you are blind to me.

That’s alright though, you are worth the wait.

I can endure the silence and awkward hovering; I have the comets after all.

Orion fires them with masterful precision,

If you were here you’d outshine all of them

But you’re not and God willing you won’t be for a while.
