Dear Alien Welcome to Earth
the blue planet that gave us birth,
there are many skeptics here
but I knew you were near!
Since we like to be pleasant
now I'll make you a present,
it is something we invented
and I'm sure you'll be tempted:
The device we can't live without,
to talk you don't need a mouth
your long fingers can tap icons,
scroll the pages, send emoticons,
you will see how much is helpful
look at things bold and beautiful,
thanks to filters and Photoshop
you can cut, drag and drop.
Take it with you for a while
so you can learn about our lifestyle
but I want to tell you the truth
the device has pros and cons:
don't let it swallow your youth
don't let it get into your bones.
Look at the Earth with your eyes
you'll be seduced by blue skies,
feel the humans with your heart
you will see a work of art,
let us give you some deep love
it is something we are proud of.
But every time you feel sad and alone,
you can use a device to phone home.

No! Don't get them addicted already! Then again, they probably already went through something similar to that on their own place of home. If they can invent vessels to travel across space-time, then wouldn't they invent other devices for their own luxurious pleasure? Maybe that's why their eyes are so big? It's to take in all the extra light from their smart devices.
