The beauty of love

I wish to speak of things we love, and things that we hold dear,

Like the love of literature that had you wanting to come here,

The love we have for family, our friends and for our homes,

I can hardly find the words that could express it in a poem,

Such beauty in the things we love, so comforting and warm,

And the ties that stand the tests of time and weather any storm,

If we imagined those we’ve lost in heaven, soaring high above,

You’d see why of all life’s beauties, the most beautiful is love,
