The Autumn

The autumn leaves fall gently down,

Drifting through the breeze without a sound,

Their colors blazing, red and gold,

As nature's story is slowly told.

The trees stand tall, bare and proud,

As the world around them is wrapped in a shroud,

Of misty fog and chilly air,

As autumn's beauty is everywhere.

The animals scurry to and fro,

Gathering food before the snow,

They know that winter is on its way,

And soon the land will be still and grey.

But for now, let's bask in the glow,

Of autumn's beauty, before it must go,

Let's savor the colors, the smells, the sounds,

Before winter's icy grip abounds.
