You were a constellation, vast and ever bright,
I, a moth drawn inwards, lost in starry night.
But gravity's a fickle friend, it pulls then lets you fall,
Leaving you adrift, a teardrop in the sprawl.
The heart, a stubborn thing, it clutches what's long gone,
A faded photograph, a whispered, haunting song.
But memories, like fireflies, eventually fade,
Their fleeting light a reminder, promises betrayed.
Letting go, a sculptor's hand, chiseling away,
The face I built of dreams, at the break of day.
It's learning love's not bondage, a hand that holds too tight,
But a bittersweet symphony, played in fading light.
So I release you, darling, to the vast, uncaring sky,
A wish upon the wind, a teardrop in my eye.
May your journey find its solace, may mine find peace at last,
For the art of letting go, is love's most tender cast.
