That Which Falls From Above
Water is Life is Magic
Rain drops fall ever-so softly below
It greets this dear foreigner like a sighing hello
Where saltless tears lay blessings upon flora
There is this sudden bloom of euphoria
~
We dare ask, how can a world with so much variety
Sing in such a hushed piety
While war and power and greed rage on
Here is the gentlest of nature’s song
~
The droplets slide across bare speckled skin
As this strangeness is suddenly akin
The moisture hugs and clings with humbleness
Yet it is not something one would think to ever miss
~
For when you leave and whisper to others this story
You’ll recall the simplest touch of shimmered glory
For this is life that waters as it falls
Without a single ask or doubt at all

Nice! Thank you 😊💕❤️
Beautiful! this felt like reading in a rainstorm! Gorgeous!
This made me crave the feeling of being in the rain. Each line was individually beautiful and the effect of them together was just, I don’t even know what to call it…. Musical maybe? I loved it! ❤️
nicely written
beautiful thoughts about the rain, and our coinciding feelings. Read mine? https://vocal.media/poets/waking-up-perfectly-normal
Oh this was so good! Loved these lines, "While war and power and greed rage on, Here is the gentlest of nature’s song" Bravo, Oneg :)

This is just gorgeous. Love it.
Beautifully written. I must say this is your best poem yet. So subtle yet direct.
Nice❤️📝👌
Well done, Oneg. Great sense of description.
This is breathtakingly wonderful. Sublime. Each word, every line, is as delicate as a petal, and I don't want to hold it too roughly. "The moisture hugs and clings with humbleness Yet it is not something one would think to ever miss" You capture a moment masterfully.
Oneg, this is my favorite poem of yours. Very poignant and an important reminder of the preciousness of nature. Thank you!
I love the rain, even more than I love your poem, which I do indeed love.
Beautifully done. The 'Soft caress amidst chaos.' encasulates so much. If only we would learn 🤍
