Tautogrammatical
This is for the Vocal "Tautogram" Challenge
This is for the Vocal "Tautogram" Challenge that you can read about here. I must say this is a real challenge, as it will make creators really have to think about what they are doing,
I have found it very difficult as I have chosen a defined poetic form and think this may be my only entry.
The site below says:
Tautogram poems are more like a word game than a serious form and are usually treated as a novelty, even by professional poets.
I am not sure that I can use a defined form, I do see another plague of Haiku for this, though Fibonacci, Sedoka and a single verse cinquain are possibilities so guess which one I am going to choose.
Tautology is the saying of the same thing twice over in different words and is generally considered to be a fault of style.
I am going to use a Reverse Cinquain, you can find out more about the various cinquain forms below.
I do prefer these poetic forms to be centred so here is a screenshot of how I would like it to be.

Thank you for all your input and information on poetic forms, really have learned so much. Nice tautogram as well. β₯οΈ
I have read twice now. So much info imparted!
Well done.
Artfully and skillfully done! I have one or two in the works that will adhere to form, but the first few submissions have been free verse.
Smart take on the challenge!
Ace attempt that I would be proud of Mike if I were you!
I was quite overwhelmed by this challenge. But somehow tying it down to a form that has fixed syllable count makes it feel better. Thank you for this Mike and I loved your Reverse Cinquain!
This was fun and such a great piece of work! I feel like you really honoured the challenge well!
Oh gosh, I forgot all about form! For me it was hard to even make a cohesive thought under this constraint. Probably why mine was so short! Truly Tremendous take on this challenge, Mike :)
Very nicely done.
Great work, and also wonderful job providing background information!! ππ
Thank you for this educational entry. I got more information and guidance out of this than in the original announcement π
Poem was wonderful! And the extra information was quite helpful, thank you for both!!
Thanks for the links and information. Love what you did with the poem, Mike! ππ
