surreal poetry
Surrealist poetry embodies the essence of poetry itself, drawing upon shocking imagery and lyrical incongruities to comment on the inner-workings of the mind.
Kiss and Hug at Dusk and Dawn
Moon, we see, in the dark of eve. She, pale and calm, In the deep blue sea of sky. Her gaze, long for her love, The bold, warm Sun. Sun, who rise with the high song of lark, He, gold and warm, In the pure blue sky of morn. His gaze, long for his love, The soft, cool Moon. Yet, they meet not, save for the rare kiss at dawn, Or a shy hug at dusk. A tale of love, lost in eon's wide spin. Love, they say, is not just a gaze, It's in the rays that Sun to Moon does gift, It's in the glow that Moon to Sun does cast, In each dark hour, his love, she does lift.
