surreal poetry
Surrealist poetry embodies the essence of poetry itself, drawing upon shocking imagery and lyrical incongruities to comment on the inner-workings of the mind.
Home
Home to me is just as weird as dreams could be. I know my home has no lock or key. It isn't a building on some random street. I found it from a hand of a man that night on the beach. The very same beach we would meet to enjoy the sand as it covered our feet. Those moments I can't shake or fake as warm tears from my eyes tickle my cheeks. The moonlight gives off light each time we speak. His words flow through me which made my favorite songs appear weak. His energy alone has this rhythm I seek. How did I get so lucky to feel love this deep? It took many lifetimes and many heartbreaks to finally feel my soul's heartbeat. His energy alone woke me up out of a forty year sleep. So many years, months, and weeks crossing dimensions through imaginations or at night counting sheep. Home to me lies deep within. Your soul opens up to remind you there is a beginning, a middle and even an end. I found my way home and hopefully I can skip out on steps 1 through ten again. I found myself in someone who only sees me as a friend. Even though I know we been down this road of love and none of it was or is just pretend. I remember him more each night in dreams angels send.

The House These Words Built
"The words you speak become the house you live in." ~ Hafiz Someday in the distant future, it might be said that the books I wrote resemble a majestic mansion ensconced amidst bucolic pastures. Oh yes, educated folks will come from far and wide to gawk at the palatial splendour of this metaphoric estate. Don't believe me, do you?
