Four walls :

Two Arms

Two Legs.

Doors are locked.

Shades are drawn.

No one is home.

Foundation:

Home

Family, Love

While I’m gone, I close my eyes and I’m back. I can smell hot mozzarella cheese on fresh pizza inside my mothers stove. I can feel my brother by side on the couch. I see the game on and hear my dad screaming at the refs.

This is home.

I didn’t know before but these moments build my inner being. I go back to these moments when the lights go out inside of me and soon, slowly, the bulbs flicker back to life.

I’m scares me at first , I've never seen myself in the light before. I search the parts of me where silence lives

I learn where to hang shelves for my mind to be held, to relax

I create some smalls shadows in the corners where my mirrors go.

I come home.

Light pulses through the veins of the floorboards

to the baseboards of every cell.

Energy:

Hope

Faith

Climbing the stairs of my soul.

Light shines on the picture frames of my heart.

Four walls:

My Arms

My Legs.

Doors open.

Shades up.

I am always home.
