surreal poetry
Surrealist poetry embodies the essence of poetry itself, drawing upon shocking imagery and lyrical incongruities to comment on the inner-workings of the mind.
Rise, Even When You Are Broken
When nights grow heavy upon your chest,And hope feels like an uninvited guest,Remember this—your shaking soulWas never born to lose control. You walked through storms no one could see,Fought silent wars courageously,Each scar you hide beneath your skinIs proof you chose to rise again. The world may doubt your trembling voice,Mistake your silence for no choice,But oceans roar before they rise,And stars are born in darkest skies.Do not beg fate to ease your pain,For pressure turns dust into flame,What bends you now will shape your crown,What breaks you builds the strongest ground.Stand tall, even when knees still shake,Dream loud, even after heartbreak,For legends bleed before they shine,And greatness blooms in brutal time.So walk ahead—unseen, unheard,Trust the fire inside your words,One day they’ll ask how you survived,Smile and say: I never died.
