Song Lyrics
The Mess You Made
I would usually include my authors note at the bottom, but I wanted to leave this one at the very beginning as a sort of disclaimer. If you've never read any of my work, you don't know anything I've gone through with family. What I have shared here is only the smallest glimmer of what I've faced with them. I won't dive into the entirety of why this song was written, I only want to shed a little light on one of the lyrics in particular. "I hope your God can save you." When I say this, people can easily misinterpret it as me denouncing religion. Saying 'your' God instead of God sounds harsh... but the reason I say it directed at this person in particular is because I don't feel that they believe in the same Christian God I do.

Christian Poetry: 'Will You Run Tomorrow?'
This poem is about the shock some may experience when they learn that the Christian life can be filled with battles, trials, and a consistent choice to resist evil. Many are told to come to Christ because of the love, joy, peace, and forgiveness they will experience, which is true, but will they continue to walk with the Lord when their faith is challenged?
