WHAT IS A SESTINA POEM ? A Sestina is a type of poem with six stanzas of six lines each and a final stanza of three lines. The same six words are repeated at the end of each line of the stanzas in a specific pattern, and then they are used in a different order in the final three lines. In this Sestina, the six words that are repeated are "all", "wide", "thrall", "abide", "style", and "fall".
