Family
There was a time, a whole life ago, When every moment was fully yours You could go out, you could just flee Grab but a bag: the world is to see! It was a time, unbridled and free And then you made a— family! There were some nights, a lifetime ago, You wouldn't feel like wasting on sleep. You could go dance, you could get drunk! You could stay up to watch the TV. Those were the nights, unbridled and free And then you made a— family! There was an age, an era ago, You spent your money on gadgets and cars, You didn't need a savings account, Or the permission to spend each amount. It was an age, unbridled and free And then you made a— family! There was a stretch, an instant ago, You felt unloved, alone, and afraid. No end in sight, you wouldn't admit, You loved your life, yet wanted to quit. It was a stretch, unbridled and free And then you made a— family!

When two stubborn souls fall in love and break up, the damage cannot be mended easily... Living in a generation where it is considered weak for the men to reach out first, and so-called desperate for the women to reach out, we end up going into our own dark holes for a while, ultimately living out a lie until something so-called better comes along...
