love poems
Love poems for hopeless romantics; I'm the poet and you're my muse.
Never change
I never want to see you change. The photo sits inside a silver frame, From years before I even knew your name. A gap-toothed smile beneath a summer sun, Long days of childhood freedom, just begun. I trace the faded ink and vintage lace, The sweet innocence upon your younger face. I wish that time could freeze this perfect view, And lock away the childhood soul of you. Before the bitter world could rearrange, I never want to see you change.

Your name
I barely even know your name. The coffee shop is loud with morning grid, Beneath the heavy coat where you are hid. You drop your keys, I hand them back to you, A passing glance between a stranger crew. A polite smile, a mumbled word of thanks, Two random numbers in the social ranks. No spark is lit, no sudden lightning strike, Just two commuters looking quite alike. A fleeting moment in the city game, I barely even know your name.

One More Day With Nana
One More Day With Nana At twenty-five, he stood a man, or so the world believed, But deep inside, he was her boy, with all his heart bereaved, For Nana was his safest place, his comfort and his home, And when she died, his whole wide world was suddenly alone.

The Best Way to Keep You Mine
The Best Way to Keep You Mine I never needed golden rings or promises you made, Just little acts of kindness when the sunlight starts to fade, A hand to hold through troubled times, a heart that stays so true, The best way to keep you mine is simply loving you.
