There Is A Tree In Heaven
It’s leafs hold all our names

There Is A Tree In Heaven
There is a tree in Heaven,
Where every living name is known.
Each leaf belongs to someone here,
Until the day it journeys home.
The branches hold them gently there,
Through every season passing by.
And when a leaf begins to fall,
An angel watches from the sky.
The leaves fall down as leaves must do,
So softly from the branch above.
And if your name is written there,
An angel comes for you with love.
They take your hand so tenderly,
And guide you where the pathway leads.
Beyond the clouds and brightest stars,
To where your tired spirit breathes.
You leave behind the ones you love,
But love itself will never end.
It lives inside each memory,
And walks beside each grieving friend.
Perhaps a feather drifts your way,
Perhaps a robin waits nearby.
Perhaps the breeze feels warm and soft,
As if a loved one passes by.
And every autumn leaves will fall,
Just as my dad once used to say.
Each one may hold a precious name,
For Heaven knows the chosen day.
One day my leaf will leave the tree,
And float so softly through the air.
An angel will come down for me,
And I will know that God is there.
The one who walked beside me here,
Will carry me when I am tired.
He will lead me to Heaven gates,
To everything my soul desired.
And when I reach those Heaven gates,
My family past will all greet me.
The ones I loved and lost before,
Will smile and wait there patiently.
We shall be together then,
No more goodbyes for you and me.
No more tears and no more leaving,
Just love for all eternity.
So when the leaves begin to fall,
I will not fear what I cannot see.
For somewhere on that tree in Heaven,
One little leaf belongs to me.
