Forty and Free
At 40, Be a Middle-Aged Girl "No Longer Bound by Expectations" I used to be terrified of disappointing people. I was afraid of not being good enough, not mature enough, or not hardworking enough. Christian Poetry: 'Letting Go Again'
I wrote this poem years ago in contemplating how we lose our carefree nature in adulthood. As children, we don't have much to worry about. But as the years go by, we turn into stressed worrywarts, carrying the many burdens of life on our shoulders. Being around children helps me to remember the fun and joy I once had and to learn to let go again.
