Eyes That Never See The Truth

Blinded by ignorance or something stronger

Eyes That Never See The Truth

Blindness does not always mean no sight

Sometimes eyes work perfectly well

Still people wander away from light

Choosing comfortable lies to tell

They stare directly at shattered trust

Yet paint betrayal silver and gold

Ignoring wounds collecting dust

While colder stories unfold

I watched truth bleed across the floor

Nobody moved to stop the stain

Their eyes stayed fixed upon the door

Pretending innocence eased the pain

Smiles hide daggers sharpened deep

False affection dressed in lace

Secrets buried where silence sleeps

Rotting slowly beneath each face

People hear only what they choose

Filtering honesty through fear

Destroying souls they later accuse

While refusing what is clear

Even mirrors begin deceiving

Reflecting masks instead of skin

A world forever self-believing

Where corruption grows within

My eyes grew tired years ago

Watching denial poison minds

Still painful truths continue to grow

Inside these darkened times

So many walk with vision intact

Still unable to truly see

Ignoring every honest fact

Until lies become reality
