heartbreak
They can break your heart, but they can't break your soul; poetry about lost love that comforts and uplifts.
Fresh heaven stuck in a private hell
The tempestuous younger sister, had a penchant for true crimeshe lingered over sordid details of past gruesome murderBut found themSo boring. She found a rat to serve her older sister as stew a drink of sewer, a toast will do‘Why did she shimmer brighter than I?IWasThe RealStar.’Her brain hit heavy clankings of the painful sea, so dark, so cold, so dreadfulIt left a scar of misery deep in her raw and twisted heart, so devastating it killed her fearit killed her fear,Now she had nothing to lose:she served her sister a dead parakeet Her pet, her last love, her special treatshe purged out her guts as her heart stoppedThe three agonizing seconds before her soul left her earthly framework She lifted the ceramic bowl, the bowl she had asked her sister to refill with cool water every nightAnd it spilled over her face, live with worms and crawdadsWarm, gooey, terrifying But with her last frightening breath, she left her eyes open in an accusatory stare Her mouth twisted in a evil glare, a smile so defiant The youngest screamed in a faint, A true horror story A pixie spirit with engorged cheeksSang themBoth into a etheral promise of heaven,As they faded into red, red, pinkThe faded hell that drank in their fears like honey to a beeOne eyes open to the truthAnother closed in agony.

Bittersweet
My heart aches, I have the same heart sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach, the same one I had months ago. Tears fill my eyes all over again, remembering the drive home after that last cold conversation, I held it together in front of you, I didn't want you to see the power you came to have over me... I would not break down in front of you, but the moment I drove away, tears covered my face, and I screamed out in pain; I couldn't breathe, I felt like my heart was ripped out of my chest.
