Sweet & Sour

A Poem for Cocktail Day

A Cocktail Day, a time to celebrate

With glasses raised and drinks to sate

Our thirst for fun and revelry

As we toast to life and all its glee

With each sip, we taste the blend

Of spirits, juices, and ice that bend

To create a drink that's smooth and bold

A liquid masterpiece to behold

From sweet to sour, and everything in between

A world of flavors, a sensory dream

As we explore the vast cocktail land

We raise our glasses, and make a stand

To cheers to life and all its wonder

To celebrate with friends, no need to ponder

For every day is a reason to cheer

To lift our spirits, and hold them dear

So let's clink our glasses, and drink away

On this Cocktail Day, let's make it a day

To remember the joys of life and love

And raise our glasses to the skies above.

**********

To all the readers who've read this verse I hope it's brought a bit of mirth May the words have lifted up your day And brightened up the shades of grey May the joy of cocktails be with you In all the flavors, old and new Cheers to life, and all its grace And may happiness light up your face Thank you for taking the time to read These lines that from my heart do lead I hope they've touched you in some way And made your day a little less gray.
