Suspicions

A Short Poem

***

That movement...

Is pretty abnormal to me.

What are you hiding?

***

I can't help but notice these weird behaviors,

I have to call them out.

Was it just a coincidence that our eyes met?

Is it all just a coincidence that you show up...

...when I'm around?

***

It just seems too fairy-tale-like,

Especially in today's world.

Unless that's just the aftermath of having an active imagination.

***

I'm sorry,

I said too much.

But now I got you in my mind...

...like poison.

I can't stop thinking about these situations...

...that I've encountered.

***

I'm probably overreacting anyway,

I just wish that you were easier to read.

Your intentions are difficult for me to understand,

I wish you'd come forth and open up to me.

Which you typically would...

...And my feeling was correct all along...

***

I hate to assume,

I hate to confront.

I don't want to embarrass ourselves,

And make it awkward between us.

So, I sit in silence...

...And I write about my feelings instead.
