My senses set on fire

My nightmares love you more than I do

I chart the globe for solace yet, still I see your face every place I lay my head

There’s words used to describe you

But I’m too tired to waste such energy.

It’s unknown when you’ll leave but know my spirit shall rejoice when you do

Hot, sweaty hands clinging to a damp neck

The second terror of the week caused by you

Power, you have it easily, I lose mine on the riverfront

Muddy water and broken hearts fill that swamp with tales of the unresolved.

I stepped close to drink my fill

Returned to cry back into that desolate place

Wailing now, for the silence I concealed,

If I ever ran across you, I’d seek revenge!

Something that makes your teeth grind to the bone like mine

Inhale my hatred wherever you now reside,

Know, you won’t get away with this punishment forever.
