Chip has been my best friend for almost thirteen years now. I have lived far from home for the last six of those, so when I’m back every minute we get together is so special to me. Yesterday I woke him up at one in the morning when I got home, so today I owed him a nap on his favorite chair. Home has meant a lot of different things to me over the years, but this kind of moment is a constant in all of them.
