Subtle Turquoise

The beams are fading through the window pane
Slipping lower and lower as the sun is tucked into the tree line
A fuzzy light of its memory swims through the leaves for a moment, but then is gone without a word
Is my internal light enough to not have to move?
Can I, in existence; live up to what I always should have been?
Subtle turquoise permeates my soft focus, as I search for meaning in the cracks of the sidewalk.
Life is hard enough, but if it was meaningless, then it would be hard to see anything but shades of blue.
