Submerged

Have you ever had the feeling of being unable to breathe?

No silly I don't mean suddenly dying out of thin air, going underwater in a public pool, or holding your breath for a very long time.

I mean the feeling of being unable to cope with an event large enough to make you have the illusion of being unable to breathe.

Surely you understand what I mean.

That tingling sensation inside of your heart starts, like a jolt of electricity that numbs out the rest of the pain. It's unbearable.

But who made god have funny ideas to play on you of all people? There are one billion or so others "that this" could've happened to and yet it struck you first.

Sounds unfair, doesn't it?

It does sound unfair.

It is unfair.

It is only that way because of circumstances.

An individual could be living in paradise. Afterward, that same person who was walking around with their friends smiling, laughing, chatting together is suddenly breaking down alone in a dark room.

An individual could be living in hell. Working 9 - 5 jobs, struggling in everyday life, stumbling on the sidewalk, and sometimes even pass out from exhaustion hold a very gorgeous smile on their face.

Struggling to find your place in this world.

Struggling to find a source of happiness.

Is one of the very few reasons why we suffocate.

Why we drown ourselves the way we do.

But sometimes drowning can be okay. Who made this world unfair? Who made us humans so hard to understand? Not even I know the answers to these questions. I don't nor will you find it looking through the internet.

It pains me to say this but most of our own questions can be found inside of us. Not by someone else for clarification. Not by an article from some famous professor. Just you.

At least the answer you hear won't be made up to make you feel better.

So float back to the surface of those very warm waters. I know it's very scary but once you truly let that sensation go. You'll find yourself exactly where your heart wants you to be,

Whole.

So smile! Because the world may not want to see your happiness. But your heart will,

I promise you.
