I've taken a break from writing

My creative well is bare to the bones

It needs to be refilled

Instead of writing

I've been reading

I've been reading stories posted here

And other blocks along the digital road

As well as fancy printed books we modern aged people easily ignore

Not only have I been reading for entertainment purposes

Yet to truly hone my skills and improve as a writer

And storyteller

Back when I was taken classes in college we had this paper due

All of us were completely terrified which amused our instructor

I always remember what he told us that day before we went home

If you learned then you have no reason to be afraid

Something like that

It's true

I feel a lot of us creative hopefuls long for the success

Yet get so scared to try cause we hardly understand what we're doing

There is a process to writing

And each of us has our own unique styles, patterns, and ways to tell a story

I'm going to continue to search for those answers

And write stories that may take your breathe away

Stories are powerful

Stories are gifts

Stories deserve to be told
