the lights are behind the trees
with stars behind them
a forest to a city to the stars
amen
we can accomplish fantastic things
as human beings
we just have to wander
reach for the diamonds in the sky
and ride a spaceship
for the rest of your life
living a lie
always wanting to cry
because you're in the sky
crying your light out
unto the city
who hides you with lights of their own
light pollution
is the solution to hide the shine of the unknown
the city can be pretty shitty
but at least it feels like you're a drone
basically a palindrome
going every which way
and there are more like you
but the light shines from the city
out into the forest
being covered by trees
leaving only shadows in their wake
but keeping it blocked so the animals don't awaken
for it is their land which we are shaking
behind the forest is the plains where we stand now
because we are all so plain when
seeing all the stars so distant in the sky
reaching for them but knowing they'll never be in our grasp
because they're a million light-years away
giving you light every which way
keeping you from the shade
shining brightly
nightly
they shine
so you should say amen
for the bright night light
that is in the sky free to see
the natural light
is the one you can be
so what is your nature
escape the city and find it
you won't mind it
find your talent
and be your own star
because you'll be the start of something new
and you can improve
with all of your actions
and then you'll see better reactions
from all and none
because we are all one
so treat people like you treat yourself
and then it'll be proven
like the shirt, you're wearing woven
everyone is bearing a moment
that they wish they could go back to
and change
to rewrite
and maybe they would've been the light
but now is the moment
and don't waste it
don't let this moment be wasted
by getting wasted and creating more waste.
