Star’s Tangled
Human Constellations
flesh colored emotions
stars tangled in skin
bones tattooed with scars
clichés, cleft, on the chin
*
a vast sea of people
constellations with smiles
spirits shooting through peepholes
glowing brightly for miles
*
galaxies fill the void
where once, hurt, left its mark
expectations destroyed
still preserving a spark
*
dancing on milky ways
exploration of fear
while the universe plays
diagnosing my tears
*
messages in rare bottles
bobble and wave, in the ocean
pushing the limits of the throttle
expanding the depths of devotion
*
wounded butterflies
adrift the break in the breeze
relearning to fly
arising beyond the trees

I AM
This is not who I thought I would be. Before my family was captured and forced into slavery, I had aspirations of becoming a wealthy business owner or possibly a scholar and philosopher. Becoming a warrior was the furthest thing from my mind. Unfortunately, our Roman conquerors had other plans.

Hi-K ~ Got anything with a little more skin-deep meat in it?...Just joking or am I? Can't imagine how you just whip these marvelous rhymes out. I'm not a Poet and I so know it.
