Oh to carry you in my pocket
like a lucky coin I could flip
when the answers are unclear
on a stormy day like this.
You could whisper all the secrets
to unearthing happiness
in a state of paranoia
caused by greed and shameful bliss.
I could learn to be more grateful
for the sacrifices made
by my mother and her mother
who made sure to keep me safe.
But the truth is that you're everywhere
and everything at once;
I have to come to terms with knowing that
your light is in my sun.
Thank you all for reading <3
