Cherry Baby

Me and my guitar

By Bri CampbellPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

Classic like a Chevy El Camino

dripped in cherry red with platinum plaques that shine in Reno.

Luxurious, a star when she steps out on the scene,

with style so electric and clean, my baby is pristine.

She’s dangerous, striking as a lit match in Arizona,

I never would disown her, though I tend to be a loner.

Vintage gold, a model, she’s the standard by design,

shaped well and fine, I could hug her all the time.

Her voice is like velvet, she’s the top of her class,

and the songs we create don’t equate to the rest.

It was love at first sight, no illusions, nothing crazy,

nobody else can save me when I play my Cherry Baby.
