The Cord that Binds
Sparks, like stars, light the night as our fingers intertwine.
Scents of spice and flower merge in consensual embrace.
Mystique pervades as bodies quiver, the world is left behind.
She tilts her head, eyes on mine, and draws me to her gaze.

Magnetic forces pull us close until we’re nose to nose.
Shields are down, exhalations shared, anticipation grows.
Tender lips brush; then they part, surrendered, eyes aglow.
Lovers mouths, sip and savor the whisky of our souls.

Tendrils of love, lust, and want thread our heart's emotions.
Two lives entwined, with love that grows, our affirmation.
Kisses bind the threads to cord, a bond that can’t be broken.
Southern comfort, two as one, braving tribulations.

Years have gone, long lives we’ve lived, our bodies in decline.
She tilts her head, eyes on mine, and draws me to her gaze.

Scents of tulips in her room merge with our long embrace.

The gift of touch we hold dear, for one day we must part.
Sparks, like the stars, light the room, our fingers intertwine.
Our tender kiss, nectar sweet, forever binds our hearts.
The last kiss, like whisky sweet, our southern comfort time.
