Song of the Dollar
How much can you sing about money?

Out of the throat
The message of dollars sings.
When the idea can float
And the registers ring.
As with business there seems
To be powered wings of thought
That lift up one’s dreams.
The truth is therefore wrought.
To tip the scales
On hopes and reality and clarity
Means that there are sales
In the midst of calamity.
Taken at the word
Of the mighty mouth.
The idea like a bird
Returns to the deep South.
The dollar only moves
As wings do carry in the wind,
Cash also just proves
That one must save in order to spend.
