Sometimes Mommies Cry,

Son, sometimes mommies cry and they couldn't even tell you why.

Sometimes mommies smile so big and hug you so tight you can barely breathe,

But sometimes mommies cry.

See, we have big feelings too,

And just like you

Sometimes we cry because we don't know what to do,

Or we think we're bad,

Or we think we made you very sad.

Sometimes Mommies cry

Just like you

Sometimes Mommies cry because it feels like the right thing to do.

Sometimes Mommies smile, and hug you so tight,

Sometimes Mommies get loud, and silly,

Sometimes Mommies get angry,

Sometimes Mommies get tired.

Sometimes Mommies get playful.

But no matter what,

No matter if it's day or night

If Mommies cry or hug you very tight,

Even in the very early morning

And very late at night,

We love you,

And we want you to know,

That just like us,

Your feelings are alright.
