In a world full of things common and cheap,

There's something that still manages to keep,

Its value and worth, shining so bright,

An object of desire, a true wealth,

It's a symbol of power, of grace and might,

It's a thing that captivates and allures,

Fascinates and inspires, it's what assures,

That life is worth living, that it's alright,

It's something that shines, in the darkness of night,

A light that illuminates, giving hope and light,

It's a thing that's cherished, a true delight,

A rare gem, a rare sight.

It's something that's rare, that's so hard to find,

A thing that's so precious, one-of-a-kind,

A treasure that's guarded, protected with might,

A rare gem, a rare sight.

It's something that's sought after, by all and sundry,

A thing that's so valuable, something so contrary,

To all that's common, something that's bright,

A rare gem, a rare sight.

It's a thing that's timeless, that's always in style,

A treasure that's priceless, a treasure that's wild,

A thing that's so unique, a true delight,

A rare gem, a rare sight.

It's something that's rare, like a shooting star,

A thing that's so fleeting, something so far,

But when it's found, it shines so bright,

A rare gem, a rare sight.

It's something that's rare, like a snowflake in May,

A thing that's so beautiful, in a world that's gray,

A thing that's so special, it brings a smile,

It's something that's rare, like a ray of sunshine,

A thing that's so warm, so full of life's divine,

A thing that brings joy, to the heart and mind,

So here's to the rare, the one-of-a-kind,

The things that are precious, the things that we find,

The things that make life, worth living and bright,
