Snowfall

Midnight memories

I see you dancing in the snow

the wind whirls around you

And I feel you near me

In the memory of midnight snowfall and

Tiny foot prints and

Sleepy hazel eyes

It's 2 am after all, And

still you fall into the snow

Leaving tiny snow angels and footprints behind

all these years later

All this time apart

All this distance between us

As ice crystals kiss your eyelids

And the chill in the air blushes your cheeks

I know a piece of good remains inside

Buried under snow though it may be

Waiting for "spring" and renewal to come
