Here's the thing:

Once you step out of that box,

They'll call you mad.

They'll call you sad.

Hormonal.

Hysterical.

Hypersensitive.

A bitch.

A whore.

A spinster.

A homewrecker.

A siren.

A succubus.

A hag.

A crone.

A witch.

The Mother of lies.

Too soft, too harsh, too stupid, too clever, too this, too that.

They'll want you to bend,

Lend.

Tend.

Kneel.

Break.

Acquiesce.

Be good.

Be bad.

Be a slut.

Be pure.

Be a homemaker.

Not too soft, too harsh, too stupid, too clever,

Not too happy, but not too sad.

They'll threaten to rape, beat and murder you.

They'll have a drink and smash up your house.

They'll judge you on looks,

Rip up your books,

And they'll tell you,

"you don't know what you're talking about."

But you do.

And I'm telling you,

They act in this way

Because you just might be

something that exposes their fragility.

Toxic masculinity.

Small dick energy.
