Sky is the girl that everyone thinks they know. We believe that she is as predictable and easy to read as the rest of us. We proclaim that her faults and flaws and mistakes are things that we can expect, like we have bets on who called it first. Everyone thinks that they know Sky, but they don't know the half of it.

Skyler is smart and caring and kind and beautiful. She's strong and strives to be able to stand on her own two feet. Skyler has been through things that most of us cannot fathom without wanting to burst into tears. She sees the world for what it is, even in its worst ways. Skyler is the The Valley's best kept secret, the thing The Valley keeps under-wraps so no discovers how special it truly is.

She is our "diamond in the rough", the shining jewel that glows beneath the mess that we call reality. The world changes like the wind, switching to a different direction whenever it sees fit. I feel like Skyler is one of the few people I know that is ready and stable when the wind shifts and the world changes. She'll have her feet rooted to the ground while the rest of us get swept up by the wind. She'll be standing tall while all of us float around absentmindedly.

Keep the truth of who she is a secret until she says she’s ready to reveal it. There’s things that we don’t know and plenty we don’t understand, so our best option is to just listen.

Sky has a power that I doubt she even knows she has. She has the ability to keep people guessing, to make them wonder if they have it all right; and if they don’t, what it is that they’re missing. She keeps us all on our toes. We watch, we listen, and we wait for the smallest details to reveal themselves. Even when we collect these details, study them to end of every sentence and the final page of every book, there’s still more.
